What do percentiles mean?
Growth percentiles show how your baby's weight compares to other babies of the same age and gender, based on World Health Organization (WHO) standards.
A 50th percentile means your baby weighs more than 50% of babies the same age. Being above or below average doesn't mean anything is wrong — every baby grows at their own pace.
Percentiles are most useful when tracked over time. Consistent growth along any percentile line is generally a good sign. Talk to your pediatrician if you have concerns.
